I was looking for a casual shoe for spring, summer, several upcoming trips, including a cruise, and this shoe is perfect! Very comfortable and stylish. I look forward to buying other styles of this shoe. Furthermore, it is a well-designed boat shoe with a drainage system!

No worries for use on packed snow or on wet streets. Good for walking through airports and getting through TSA screening. They do get a bit warm for summer use, so then I switch out to a lighter shoe.

After wearing the soles and heels down, I took shoes with this system and this sole to several shoe repair stores. None would resole them. I went to a JM store. The person told me the shoes cannot be resoled. I would not have purchased such shoes had JM disclosed this fact.

                • Q:

I wear either a 10.5 or 11 M depending on the type of J&M shoe. I have an old J&M slip on #20-7440 - size 10.5M that is well-worn but very comfortable. The 10.5 Angler seems quite snug compared to the obsolete 20-7440 slip on, but I am hoping it will loosen up over time. Do you believe the 10.5 M is likely the best size for me? Thanks.

If you take out the removable insole, that may give your foot a little more room and not feel as snug.

Apologies if this is a silly question, but am I correct to assume that this shoe is intended to be worn without socks?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to offer.

This shoe is meant to be worn without socks. Its material and ventilation holes are made to dry the foot quickly.

why is it a different shoe when I switch between colors of supposedly the same shoe?

                  • A:

This is the same shoe, just different colors/slightly different pattern when switched between colors. The tan version comes with a beige dri-lex mesh that the other two do not have, but they are the same shoe (same fit).
