Comments about Johnston & Murphy ELLINGTON MOC TOE TASSEL:

I've been looking for a pair of quality suede tassel loafers within the $100 range. Found these through a recommendation from TSBMen and soon after went to the Houston Galleria brick and mortar J&M to try a pair on. Being a student, I've tried to find tassel loafers for much cheaper prices. But you usually get what you pay for, and I decided to take the plunge into a shoe that was built with quality in mind. I'm extremely glad I did, because these shoes are even greater than what I was originally willing to settle for.

The rubber sole and soft interior make walking in these as little of a burden as possible, but their initial wear does cause some irritation and chafing in the back of the ankles. My J&M tyndall wingtips also gave me this issue, but it wore off after about a week and a half of wear. I'm not expecting this to be a long-term issue with this shoe either. The shape of these is quite handsome, and the tassels are just the right size. They're also very versatile, being able to be worn in almost every occasion from spring/summer parties, dates, at the club (rubber sole's handy here), or the office (red colored model might be an exception, depending where you work). I've personally been wearing them with both chino shorts and pants, khakis, jeans, and trousers/slacks. I'm surprised how good these look with nearly everything. Both guys and girls also take notice of these quite often (might be that no one else seems to be rocking them in Houston!) If you're on the fence, I would recommend to bite the bullet, they've definitely proven to be worth their price.

Service and delivery comments:

The staff at the Galleria Mall location in Houston were very helpful. They held a pair for me ahead of time on busy day and made sure that it fit right before I made my purchase.

EVA stands for ethylene vinyl acetate, meaning it is the lightest of all outsoles.

I would order your original size, and if it is too big we always provide a pre-paid return label if you need to exchange for a smaller size.
