I have 6 variations of the Hannigan line, both wingtips and cap toes, and I just bought 2 more. I would buy more but they no longer have my size. It is an absolutely beautiful shoe, stylish and traditional at the same time. I've received many compliments on these from young and old, male and female. A great, great shoe.
The Hannigan is my favorite dress shoe ever. I love the unique look and style and once you break the shoes in, they are incredibly comfortable. I just went online to order another pair and my size is no longer available. I will be very upset if the Hannigan style has been discontinued. Please say no!
This was an expensive shoe for me but I bit the bullet and purchased the Tan Italian Brush-Off. It was very unique looking and I loved the look when they first arrived. After the first week or two or wear I noticed some of the stain wearing off but it looked good with the orange coming through underneath. After about 3 weeks in the shoe began looking like something was wrong. there were big orange chunks where the brown had worn off in an inconsistent manner. The problem with this is that you cannot polish or fix this yourself. I actually dont know if its fixable. Essentially these shoes look great until you start wearing them
Bought this product on this website, size 8. Johnston and Murphy sent me a size 8.5 with the ".5" scraped off in the shoe to make it say "8." Box was also larger and labeled size "8" as well. Johnston and Murphy sent me a replacement one, however the replacement shoe had a missing metal eyelet where the laces go through on the left shoe. Very disappointed with the lack of quality products they have given me.
Had to return. Shoe was incredibly stylish and good looking, but was extremely narrow. Ordered my standard shoe size (9.5) but could barely get it on my foot.
Quality shoe that looks great is comfortable as well.
Great shoes, really love the light sole with black 😎
I am now on my second pair ! The style and durability of this shoe is perfect for my need to be on my feet all day while looking professional.
Pro on the go
I purchased the Hannigan Wingtip in the Tan Brush-Off/Printed Italian Calfskin. I love the fact that J&M is creative in the design/styling/dyeing of their footwear. When I saw this shoe online, it really caught my eye and I wanted to buy a pair. I purchased the shoes once they went on sale and became more affordable for me. Unfortunately, when I received them, they didn't look quite as nice as they looked online. I found the 2-tone coloring (brown/tan) to be a little too distracting and the colors didn't flow the way I thought or thought they looked online. It's difficult to explain but the tan coloring in the shoe looked blotchy with the brown. I ended up returning these shoes and purchasing the McFarling penny in tan. The tan McFarlings looked awesome online and thankfully in person as well. Both shoes appear to be of high quality all over but I haven't worn the McFarlings enough to comment on comfort. I never did try on the Hanningan Wingtips. One thing that appears to be constant though, as I own a pair of J&M boots too, is that the 3 J&M shoes I own/purchased, all appear to run a 1/2 size to a full size large (including these Hannigan Wingtips). I'm a 12 in just about any sneaker/shoe, but I purchased the J&M boots in 11 and the McFarlings in 11.5. These Hannigans looked at least a 1/2 size too big as well.
