I've only had these a short time and the stitching is coming apart on both shoes, where they crease slightly when I walk. I contacted J&M and they sent me a pre-paid postage form to return them for an assessment. I understand problems occur and I am hopeful that customer service will remedy the issue for me.

I wear these shoes almost every other day and they are like tanks. There is a good week or two break in period, but with the optium soles, the shoe forms to your feet and once they are broken in they are a great work/dress shoe. This was my first pair of J&M shoes and I am very pleased and sure to be a repeat customer.

This shoe is not waterproof unfortunately. Additionally, it has a leather sole so snow and water would affect it more adversely. Of course you can get things to cover the in-step portion the sole at least. I've worn it in rainy weather and it retains its shine rather well.

          A:

this is a dress shoe and it is not meant to be used as a boot or to be in 6 inches of snow but it holds up to wet weather and I have worn it in snowy conditions and it has been fine, As with all good shoes it has to be taken care of,cleaned ,polished and it will give you years of excellent service.

The Waverly Wingtip is full grain calf skin. Our leathers are never sanded or treated with synthetic chemicals. Upon construction, the upper is refinished and polished.

The Waverly Wingtip is only manufactured in D and 3E widths. If you regularly fit a 2E, I would suggest trying the 3E width.

Comments about Johnston & Murphy Waverly Wingtip:

I've only had these a short time and the stitching is coming apart on both shoes, where they crease slightly when I walk. I contacted J&M and they sent me a pre-paid postage form to return them for an assessment. I understand problems occur and I am hopeful that customer service will remedy the issue for me.

I got this pair of shoe as a gift and the patterns along the side are already coming off on the sides. It had them since last Christmas. Very disappointed in this shoe and jm. This is one of many pairs I use.

I've worn it in rainy weather and it retains its shine rather well.

this is a dress shoe and it is not meant to be used as a boot or to be in 6 inches of snow but it holds up to wet weather and I have worn it in snowy conditions and it has been fine, As with all good shoes it has to be taken care of,cleaned ,polished and it will give you years of excellent service.

I measured my foot width and at the widest point it is slightly larger than 4". An online foot size chart says I'm a Medium width, however, when I used a foot measuring device at a local Macy's it indicated my width was AA - Narrow. Which is correct and what width Waverly Wingtip (Size 11) should I order?
