Broke after very limited use

I bought these very expensive boots because I thought they would be comfortable and last a long time. They were never very comfortable. I thought they would break in and be more comfortable but instead they just broke. The inner liner pulled out of the heel of one of the boots making it even less comfortable and very hard to take off. I never wore them much because they weren’t very comfortable, so I would estimate they only lasted about 15 days of wearing before they broke.

Manufacture defect

I’m really looking forward to changing this to a 5 star review. I have had great success with j&m in the past. I still have boots I love that are more than a decade old. I hope this is just a one off scenario - the heal of the boot has detached from the sole. Overall these boots are very comfortable and seemed to be high quality. They are less than a year old and have only been worn a handful of times casually. (This is evident by the wear and tread.) They have been well taken care of but unfortunately have not held up. I’m willing to give them another try because I really like the boots and am hopeful that this is a rare occurrence (I’ve never had this happen to any boots I’ve owned) Although I am outside of 90 days, I am confident that Johnston and Murphy will make things right. I will update this review when they do.

Blue soles and lining

I'm probably pickier than most, but the only thing that kept me from buying these is the blue soles. Really nicely designed boot with quality materials, and then a blue sole (and for that matter blue lining)? I'm sure many like it, but to me it ruins an otherwise very classy looking boot that seems to be built to last. Looking at Thursday and Beckett Siminon - more traditionally styled.
