I own these shoes in both black and brown. And they are terrific shoes and super versatile (I also own about 12 other pairs of shoes from J&M, so am a pretty strong loyalist.) This was not actually a purchase. Rather, it was a replacement. One of my shoes had a heel malfunction--and part of the heel literally fell off for no apparent reason. (Which I was at a client meeting, no less). I concealed the issue(!) and called my J&M store (International Plaza in Tampa) asap when in my car. The team there bent over backward to (1) locate a pair of the black shoes; (2) get them shipped to the store asap; (3) notify me when they arrived; and (4) swap them out with no questions asked but with a desire to send the shoes back to J&M for analysis. (It appeared as if the adhesive for the heel had gotten an air bubble in it as the heel was affixed--leading to the separation.) They say that the true mark of excellent service is how a brand handles the bad issues more than the good ones. This experience went from me being (honestly, and I told the store association) 'kind of ticked' about what happened (for which she was totally empathetic) to me being thrilled by the resolution of the issue. Thanks to all of you--you further entrenched my loyalty to J&M!
